His interest in traditional systems of health and wellness began in childhood when he acquired a book on yoga that ignited a lifelong passion for exploring the human body. He attended Eight Branches Academy of Eastern Medicine where he studied Traditional Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

Cameron’s understanding of the complementary systems of India and East Asia provides him with a unique perspective which he brings to his acupuncture practice. (He is a certified Yoga Teacher, and has studied yoga and Ayurveda with numerous leading professionals.)
An acupuncture treatment with Cameron may include cupping, gua sha, moxibustion and dietary/lifestyle recommendations along with specific yoga posture prescriptions depending on the needs of the patient.

What differentiates a Registered Acupuncturist like myself from other professionals who offer acupuncture is our training, which is rooted in the wisdom of Traditional Chinese Medicine.

The underpinning theory of Traditional Chinese Medicine is qi (pronounced chee). Qi is a vital force that moves through the body in channels in much the same way that blood moves through veins and arteries. What makes qi unique is that it is innately intelligent, responsible for governing the myriad processes taking place within our bodies.

Qi touches everything, every organ, every tissue and every cell. A smooth, even and undisturbed flow of qi produces good health, balanced emotions and longevity. Irregular lifestyle, (late nights, over-work, stress), physical and emotional trauma or injury, as well as predisposed weaknesses in our personal constitution can distort or disrupt the movement of qi in our systems.

The goal of an acupuncturist is ultimately to assist patients in re-establishing a smooth flow of qi, awakening the body's innate capacity to self-regulate and heal.
